The event is the official commissioning of the Rice Seeds and Seedlings Factory by President Muhammadu Buhari in Calabar, Tuesday, on the auspices of the governor of Cross River State, Mr Ben Ayade.
Minister of Transportation, Chief Rotimi Amaechi (1st from left), is caught sleeping. Social media user, Richie Romanus has interpreted the act of Amaechi thus: 'Amaechi! That one has been having sleepless nights on how to unseat Wike. No peace for the wicked still.' Solo Toyin Bentam Jnr another user has said, 'Ameachi no send any bagger.
So unbothered. So not interested. He's not even feeling fine.' 'Amaechi be like : Abeg finish what you have to do let me come and be going mbok', said Ono-Asi Edet.
DG of NIMASA, Hon Dakuku A Peterside (sitting behind Amaechi), a loyalist to Amaechi is obviously surprised at the latter. See his facial remark: kind of saying what could be wrong with this type of sleep. Hmmm!
Next is Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Usani Uguru Usani (sitting two persons away from Peterside, after Sen Victor Ndoma-Egba the Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC): Usani is obviously not happy, I can't even decipher what he's saying but certainly it won't be far from the disgrace he had at the just concluded All Progressives Congress National Convention on Saturday where his faction of the APC led by him and Chief John Etim his factional Chairman of APC CRS were prevented from voting in the convention by the convention committee which has as its secretary, Ndoma-Egba (sitting to his left).
Next is Ndoma-Egba, he's looking straight at the podium, pretending not to be concerned with the whole 'emotional politics' ongoing at the venue of the presidential commissioning. He's kind of saying —I don't care. Hmmm!
Recall that Amaechi and Usani and thus Peterside are one in the APC, Ndoma-Egba is not part of the mix.
Evidently, you can decipher that they never all wanted to be at the venue at the same time if not for the presidential visit.
Next is Winifred Oyo-ita, the Head of Service of the Federation. She's a technocrat, and isn't aware of the politicking —or, am I actually right?
