Cross River North Senatorial aspirant, Mr. Wabilly Nyiam, has congratulated Bakor sons and daughters on the occasion of this year's New Yam Celebration NegroidHaven can report.
Nyiam described the celebration of yams as a very important festival in Ogoja which he said that the Bakor nation was blessed with a rich and fertile land good for farming especially yams.
The Senatorial hopeful further said the occasion will further promote peace, love, unity and togetherness amongst the Bakor people.
Nyiam said his most solemn prayers is that God should continue to give the farmers bumper harvest and assured that on assumption as Senator representing the region in 2019, by the grace of God, Agriculture will be top most in his priority list.
He called on the Bakor nation to support his Senatorial bid, assuring that a time has come for the region to experience growth in terms of human, and capital development and he was prepared to move the area forward all ramification.
He called for a celebration devoid of all forms of social vices amongst the youth throughout the festival and heralding to the 2019 elections.
