Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo Esq, Thursday, emerged the winner of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, House of Representatives (Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency) candidate for the 2019 general elections in Nigeria.
Lebo with 132 votes beat closest rival, Prince God'swill Edward (popularly called Prince Seven) with 54 votes and Lebo Lebo with 37 votes. Eko Atu had 5 votes, Henry Eyong and Genevieve Edu with zero votes.
Commenting on his victory, social commentator Princewill Odidi said, 'Congratulations to two politicians I had earlier featured for endorsement, Senator Ndoma Egba and Speaker John Gaul Lebo for emerging as APC Senate Candidate (central), and PDP House of Reps candidate ABI Yakurr Constituency…
'While Speaker Gaul's work in the ongoing constitutional amendments where he stands in for PDP Speakers nationwide deserves him a place in the House of Reps to complete his assignment. Getting it right has very little to do with representatives that throw money around, it has more to do with representatives that understand the legislative process and how it can be applied to political development.
'These two candidates deserve a voice to represent us at the upper and lower chambers. Join me to congratulate them! Congratulations.'
