Mr Bassey Edet Otu a National Assembly (NASS) hopeful, Wednesday, emerged the Senate candidate for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the just concluded primary election for NASS hopefuls NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively.
Otu who beat his only rival in Mrs Mmaeyen Mbuk with a total vote of 44,173 against the latter's 1,270 votes will be flying the party's flag to represent Cross River State in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
The result was announced by Barr Nathaniel Ngozi Ikeocha who said thus —'being the member of the Senatorial Primary Committee of Cross River State by the powers conferred on me by the APC NWC hereby declare that having won the majority of lawful votes cast in the process of option A4, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu is declared the winner of the primary.'
