Dr Paul Udayi the gubernatorial candidate of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, in Cross River State has dumped the party citing reasons NEGROIDHAVEN has garnered.

Former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr Paul Udayi, recently reversed his decision of leaving the party, in the interest of peace and unity of the State, and indeed the party.

In his words, 'After due consultations  I've decided to put everything behind and return to my party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to join hands with Party faithfuls and His Excellency, the Governor, Prof Ben Ayade together with our Presidential Candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to work towards attaining victory in the forthcoming general elections'.

He further charged Cross Riverians to be more prayerful and united even in this moment of trials and in the spirit of unity, continue to support the governorship bid of Cross River North, as it is morally right to do so.

To my esteemed supporters, my sincere gratitude to you for the show of love, support and prayers. I wouldn't have done this without you. Let's continue to join hands and make Cross River great and indeed Nigeria.

Efforts to reach the state chairman of YPP, Mr. Castro Ezama, to verify why Udayi left his party has been fruitless. However, a reliable source is quoted to have said that there are more than meet the eyes as it concerns Udayi's exit, for him, it does not just begin and end in his wanting to endure peace and support Abubakar Atiku's presidential bid.

NEGROIDHAVEN will give updates on this development.
