The Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Cross River State, Mr. Eyo Ekpo has said he is confident that he will celebrate the 2019 Christmas in the Government House with members of the SDP.
Eyo Ekpo who said this while speaking to some party members in Calabar the Cross River state capital, reiterated that he remains committed to recover and restore Cross River from the hands of those who he said are running the state like their private estate.
His word, “Things are really hard for everyone and everywhere is quiet and we all know why. There is a huge responsibility on our shoulders and it involves taking back our state, cleaning it up and returning it back on the path of progress; that is what we will do.” Ekpo stated
Earlier speaking, the Southern Senatorial District Coordinator of the Eyo Ekpo Campaign Organization, Mr. Patrick O’Neal told the party men that the SDP has an unwavering believe in the capacity of youths to deliver, and that is why the party has encouraged youth’s participation in the electioneering process, not just as voters but mobilisers.
O’Neal added that the youths have been the most affected by the lack of governance that has prevailed in the last 3 years and there is no need to wait any longer to effect the required change.
“We are all aware of what our state has turned into and it is our responsibility as young persons, on behalf of our aged parents, our younger siblings and the children yet unborn to rise up and take charge of our future that removing this government and putting in one that truly represents what we want and have respect for us” O’Neal stated.
The meeting which held at the Eyo Ekpo campaign office was to celebrate the yuletide with some members of the SDP from the Southern Senatorial district.
