If the response of the mammoth crowd at the Calabar South residence of Dr. Inyang Asibong where the entire Calabar South constituents were hosted by the wife of the Governor, Her Excellency Dr. Linda Ayade is anything to go by, then Calabar South is already in the bag come March, 2019, for the Governor and the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
The event witnessed the distribution of Christmas largesse organized by the Wife of the Governor to the women and youths of the constituency as she felicitates' them whilst canvassing for support for the Governor, as it was dedicated to the re-election campaign of His Excellency, Sen. (Prof.) Ben Ayade, and The Chief Organizer of the event, Dr. Inyang Asibong said the event is one of many she has been giving back to the society, but this is very special to her as it is dedicated to the re-election campaign of the supersonic Governor of the State, High Chief (Sen.) (Prof.) Benedict Bangashuye Ayade. 
In attendance was the wife of the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Mrs. Omotunde Ivara Esu, the Senator representing the Southern Senatorial District of the State, Sen. Gershom Bassey, the Member Representing Calabar South, Calabar Municipality, Akamkpa and Bakassi Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Apostle Essien Ayi, the members representing Calabar South Constituency 1, Hon. Joseph Bassey, and Constituency 2, Hon. Ephraim Okon. Also present was the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Barr. Rosemary Archibong, and her colleague in the Ministry of Women Affairs, Hon. Stella Odey, the Director General of the Ayade Campaign Organization, Barr. Effiok Cobham and a host of other dignitaries who took turns to air their unwavering support to the Ayade Movement. 
There was an array of cultural and traditional displays, musical performances and dances to the satisfaction of the crowd who cheered uncontrollably as they made merry amidst airing their support for His Excellency.
