| Volunteers of NoSidonLook performing symbolic street washing in Calabar Cross River |

A civil society organisation championing good governance in Africa’s most populous country has performed a symbolic washing of designated streets of Calabar, Cross River capital city, Thursday, 31st January 2019 NEGROIDHAVEN can say authoritatively. This act of streets washing was a day after the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC made a presidential rally visit to the state.
The CSO namely No Sidon Look performed this ceremony as a way of expressing their disapproval with the second term presidential ambition of the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.
The ceremony which began from the U. J. Esuene Sports Stadium through the IBB Way proceeded to the Margaret Ekpo International Airport —by this, No Sidon Look traced the path of procession from the point of arrival at the airport to the stadium, the venue of the rally.
In a video footage cited by NEGROIDHAVEN, there were inscriptions like ‘say no to rape on democracy’, ‘wash away insecurity, injustices, poverty’, ‘wash Nigeria clean’, ‘we need a government that respects Nigerian youths’, etc. Banner inscriptions with which they paraded the streets read, ‘Cross River State is 100% Atiku/Obi’.
According to the Director General of No Sidon Look, Mr Portrait Peterson, ‘We washed almost all the numbers of seats at the stadium. We moved to IBB to the airport, we washed almost all the roads. We want the whole world to see that inspite of the what is happening…, inspite of the Onnoghen saga, etc Cross River is still a PDP state. We are for Atiku and Obi.’
