Mr. Eyo Ekpo, the Governorship candidate of the social
Democratic Party (SDP) in Cross River State has told the people of Obanlikuthat he will get the famous Obudu Mountain Resort back to its former glory and bring back the Mountain Race.
Eyo who said this in two different occasions when his
campaign train visited Becheve and Utanga communities in Obanliku LocalGovernment areas of the state.
Eyo held that the Donald Duke administration, which he was
part of considered Obanliku as an integral and important part of the
development of the state and put in place visible programs and projects to
pursue that belief.
Ekpo said that those projects established by the Donald Duke
administration provided jobs and a source of economic substance for young people of Obanliku and helped them take care of themselves, but that opportunity is no longer there as the current administration has allowed the ranch to rot, and stopped the Mountain race for reasons only the governor can explain.
Earlier speaking, Mr. Friday Awade, the candidate of the Social
Democratic Party (SDP) to the Obanliku State House of Assembly said that he is young and vibrant and ready to work to deliver the dividends of governance to the people of Obanliku, something, Awade held that they have been missing for a while now.
Awade urged the people of Obanliku to turn-up on the day of
elections, refuse any form of inducement from any political group and vote candidates of the SDP for effective representation of the constituency.
