Mr Liyel Imoukhuede, has congratulated Gov. Ben Ayade of Cross River State on his re-election victory held on March 9 2019.
Imoukhuede, who spoke with newsmen in Calabar, said that the victory was for the good of democracy and the progress of Cross River State.
According to him, Ayade's victory for a second term is a testimony of his overwhelming acceptance by the electorates in the state.
He described Ayade as a tested technocrat and a committed leader who is competent and experienced to continue the good work of industrialization in the state.
He prayed God to give Ayade the wisdom and inspiration to pilot the affairs of the state for the next four years.
He also congratulated political parties and their candidates who contested the governorship election for the fair play and relatively peaceful conduct displayed during the election exercise.
He called for calm and appealed to the opposition parties to accept defeat in good faith for the growth of the state.
