Buhari suspends Okoi Obono-Obla as ICPC commences investigation

Chief Okoi Obono-Obla the Chairman of the Special Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property, SIPRPP Wednesday was suspended from office NEGROIDHAVEN can say authoritatively.
The suspension which takes immediate effect will continue pending the completion of ongoing investigation into allegations bothering on corruption. 

According to a series of Tweets by @NGRPresident the official twitter handle of the Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 'President @MBuhari has directed the suspension from office, with immediate effect, of the Chairman of the Special Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property, Mr Okoi Obono-Obla.

'The suspension shall be in effect until the conclusion of ongoing @ICPC_PE investigations into a number of cases relating to Mr. Obono-Obla.'
Obono-Obla’s suspension has polarised opinions amongst Nigerians with some supporting the presidential suspension, others opposing it while others are indifferent. 
If Obono-Obla who doubles as Special Adviser to the President on Prosecution is indicted by the ongoing investigation by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission ICPC and is fired, he will be the second high profile Nigerian of Cross River extraction who will be fired by the president in this administration, Walter Onnoghen the retired Chief Justice of Nigeria CJN being the first.
