A week after  the Celebration of NYSC 46th Anniversary through visitation of Uwanse Motherless Babies home in Calabar, by the NYSC Cross River State Coordinator, Eddy Megwa, Corps Members serving in Ikom Local Government Area replicated same to support the State Coordinator's vision to ensure that the less privileged needs are attended to in the state NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed.
The Corps Members demonstrated what could be best regarded as an extraordinary feat through the donation of welfare materials to Abundance Orphanage Home located at Obudu road, Ikom.
The donation was made recently by Editorial and Publicity, Culture and Tourism, Sustainable Development Goals/Pet, and Education Community Development Service (CDS) groups.
Presenting the items, Editorial and Publicity CDS President,  Enoch ugochukwu chika on behalf of the CDS presidents stated that the welfare visit was engineered to let occupants know that they are being cared for. He said, “Part of the reason for our visit is to reach out to the less privileged, to educate them and help them know their right as citizens of the country. Again, the visit is to make them realize they still have what it takes to compete with their peers despite their condition.”
Responding, the head of the Orphanage home, Rose Dorcas expressed gratitude at the kind gesture of the Corps Members. She promised to make judicious use of the items, praying for God to reward them in all their endeavours.
The items donated included; Pampers, Cartons of biscuit, toiletries, cartons of drinks, packs of detergent, cartons of Indomie, and Food stuffs among others.
