His Excellency, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, Executive Governor of Cross River State is giving thousands of Pounds to the winners of the Linda Ayade Literary Art and Afi Ekong Visual Art Competitions. The money which are prizes for the competitions will be given in an event planned for Transcorp Hotels, Calabar on Thursday 26th of September, 2019 at 12 noon.
According to the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Creative and Knowledge Economy, Hon. Emmanuel Etim, the governor in his commitment to growing the Creative Industry in the state is rewarding capacity, creativity and competence. He added that the governor understands the potentials of Creative Economy in the development of the state and is keen on tapping this potentials.
The Senior Special Assistant said His Excellency, the Governor, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour while Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs. Linda Ayade, the Wife of the Governor will be the Chief Host. The event is organized by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Creative And Knowledge Economy.
The Linda Ayade Literary Art And the Afi Ekong Visual Art Competitions were organized in 2018 and after a tough and competitive process, 4 winners emerged.

The winners will go home with a thousand pounds each and are expected to utilize this money in growing themselves in these different fields and contribute to the growth of the Creative Economy in the state, the SSA added.
He concluded by saying that relevant stakeholders in the state's creative economy were invited to the event and that the Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade led administration is poised to transform the sector and thus citizens and residents alike must continue giving their support to the administration.
