The Federal Government of Nigeria FGN as well as the Cross River State Government CRSG have both been advised to consider the search for crude oil deposits in Cross River NEGROIDHAVEN can say authoritatively.
On Tuesday, award-winning journalist with News Agency of Nigeria NAN, George Odok charged the FG and CRSG to consider the search for oil alleging that, 'with the high deposit of natural resources in the state, the search for oil won't take any further before it is discovered, hopefully.'
Articulating his mind through his social media account obviously in reaction to the recent news of the FG discoverying crude oil deposits in the northern geopolitical zone of the country, Odok observed that, 'the Federal Government should also extend the search for oil in Cross River State. After the loss of 76 oil wells to Akwa Ibom, I strongly believe that Cross River still has some oil deposit'.
Continuing, the journalist disclosed that 'Aside getting the approval for the Superhighway, Sir Benedict Ayade should also intensify efforts to lobby the Federal Government in this direction… The search for oil shouldn't be limited to the North alone; it should be extended to other regions, especially Cross River State that has lost its oil rich Bakassi Peninsula to Cameroon and 76 oil wells to Akwa Ibom.'
