All is now set for the 2019 edition of the Entrepreneur Queen Nigeria EQN beauty pageantry billed to hold today 1st of November NEGROIDHAVEN can say authoritatively.
The Passion with Purpose-themed beauty pageantry which will hold in Calabar, Cross River capital city is organised by Gold Touch Entertainment.
According to the organisers the EQN 2019 will also feature GoldTouch Distinguished Entrepreneur Awards. This award series 'is aimed at inculcating among Nigerian youths the natural disposition to be entrepreneurial in all their endeavour, without which success becomes a mirage.
'A critical look at Nigeria today and the rate of youthful unemployment is disturbingly alarming. According to recent statistics unemployment rate in Nigeria is pegged at 23.10 percent in the third quarter of 2018 from 22.70 percent in the second quarter of 2018.
'This imply that unemployment rate in the country averaged 12.31 percent from 2006 until 2018, reaching an all time high of 23.10 percent in the third quarter of 2018 and a record low of 5.10 percent in the fourth quarter of 2010', she said.
Continuing Mmakamba Halima the CEO of Gold Touch Entertainment Services disclosed that 'Yesterday at the entrance of the University of Calabar I saw teeming population of celebrating youths who had just completed their final graduation examinations. I felt for them especially considering that they are about to be introduced into the labour market without hope for opportunities.
'So, I evolved this pageantry to address what may be referred to as the entrepreneurial gap'.
The grandfinale of the event will hold at Monty Suite today with the green carpet beginning from 4PM.
