BREAKING: Oba of Benin arrives Margaret Ekpo Int’l Airport ahead of historic visit to Obong of Calabar

The Oba of Benin has finally arrived Calabar, Cross River capital city ahead of the planned historic visit to the Obong of Calabar NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively. 
The airliner on-board which His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, Oba of Benin and his royal contingent are, at exactly 7:53PM of Friday touched the aerodrome of the Margaret Ekpo International Airport where he is due to pay visit to his counterpart first class chief His Eminence, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, Natural Ruler, Treaty King, Defender of the Christian Faith, and Grand Patriach of the Efik Eburutu Kingdom. 
It should be recalled that NEGROIDHAVEN had Thursday reported that, the essence of the visit is part of the Oba’s appreciation tour and the show of senergy between the two cultures. 
According to a letter titled Thank You Tour, and dated 30th December 2019 with reference number BTC.A268/VOL.OX.253, the advance team of the Oba will arrive on Wednesday 8th January, the Oba of Benin on 10th January and depart Monday 13th January after meeting with His Excellency the Executive Governor of Cross River where he will meet with Obong of Calabar, and Edo sons and daughters. 
According to Etubom Eyo Effiom Henshaw the Assistant Secretary of the Etubom Council of the Obong of Calabar ‘the purpose of the visit is a thank you visit. Thank you visit because we have had a relationship that dates back to three hundred (300) years.
‘When the Ewuare II was corronoted the Oba of Benin in 2016 the Obong of Calabar was present. I was also there to witness the corronotion. He had done this to the president, done a similar thing to the Sultan of Sokoto. So, he’s now coming to South South. Then they will use the opportunity to fine tune their royalties.’

The Oba of Benin will use the opportunity to meet with Sons and daughters of Edo State before leaving on Monday. The full itinerary of this visit will be published subsequently.
