Gov Ayade releases over N180 million for YESSO-PWF beneficiaries

The Cross River State Governor, Sen. (Prof.) Ben Ayade has approved the immediate release of over One Hundred and Eighty Million Naira Only for the payment of stipends for 9,785 beneficiaries of YESSO-PWF across the Eighteen Local Government Areas of the State.
The release of funds as directed by the State Governor is to offset the backlog of stipends owed beneficiaries of the project for a few months was as a result of irreconcilable issues, which have been sorted out for ease of operations and payment of stipends.
In a release signed by the Commissioner for Youth Development and Skills Acquisition, Hon. Signor Omang Idiege, he expressed unreserved appreciation of the Ministry and the beneficiaries of the Project to His Excellency for the commendable gesture, adding that the release of the funds and subsequent payments will go a long way to ameliorate the sufferings of the Poor and Vulnerable persons captured in the single register of YESSO.
He affirmed that though the stipends owed beneficiaries have ran for a few months, the State Government is committed to ensuring that beneficiaries are subsequently paid their stipends regularly until when the project wraps up in June, 2020.
