Water Resources SA gets tough with Directors and staff to perform or face the music

The Special Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade, on Water Resources, Victor Effiom, has expressed unhappiness over the poor performance of the of the commercial department of the Water Board, leading to the department not fulfilling it mission and target.
Effiom who bare his mind during a general meeting with Board of Directors at the Water board Headquarters, Calabar on Wednesday, to address the challenges confronting the Board expressed bitterness over the poor performance of the commercial department in particular and Water Board in general.
The SA Water Resources called for an emergency meeting with the Directors of the commercial department and all the staff of the department to deliberate with the sole aim to finding solution to why the department is not performing.
He stated that both the Directors and staff of the commercial department should discuss and come out with an immediate solution to the problem and to consider within themselves whether they are still fit to occupy their various positions or they should be dropped for capable and willing hands that will be determined to do the work effectively and efficiently.
Effiom who also challenged other departments to sit up to their responsibilities or be prepared to face the prospect being dropped for more capable hands who will deliver on their assigments for the good of the public and the government of Cross RIver state.
While on a tour of the facility, the SA equally expressed worry over the poor state of the facilities and.stressed the immediate need for the equipment to be overhauled for better result.
Effiom therefore called for Coorperation from all departments and Staff of such departments so that collectively, they can move the Cross River State Water Board forward, to be able to meet the water needs of the people of the State.
