Chief Offu Aya and the quit notice evicting him from office
28 April 2020

The Cross River State Sports Commission in a 16th April 2020 inaugural meeting resolved that the Honourable Commissioner for Sports and Cinematography in the State, Chief Offu Aya, should quit the U. J. Esuene Stadium office complex belonging to the Commission and relocate to the Michael Ani Old Secretariat Complex which houses the Ministry of Sports.
The letter which is signed by the Sports Commission Chair, Emmanuel E. Elom, dated 17th April 2020 and titled ‘Quit Notice’, hinged this decision on the basis that the Commission’s commissioners wish to ‘have access to their accommodation and properly settle down for work’.
