Information just reaching me from a very reliable source has it that there's trouble at the COVID-19 Check Point in Gakem border of Cross River North.
All lorries coming into Cross River State have been refused entry and asked to pay N4,000 before they can be allowed to enter the State. The drivers have refused to pay, insisting that FG have ordered all borders to be open for free movement of citizens.
At the time I got a call to be informed about this development, there's a line up of lorries from the border into Vandeiyka, Benue State.
I call on the SA, Security, North and other relevant stakeholders to wade into this before crisis erupts over there.
