CRSG collaborates with local governments to provide basic infrastructure

As part of her community social responsibility, the Cross River State Community & Social Development Agency (CSDA), today embarked on a  one day sensitization workshop with the 
18 Local Government Chairmen,
Leaders of Legislature and 
Heads of a Local Government Administration. 
The workshop is aimed at deepening synergy and creating a robust relationship between the CSDA and the 18 Local Government councils. 
Flagging off the workshop, the Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of International Development Cooperation, Dr Mrs Inyang Asibong charged the Chairmen of councils to take advantage of the activities of the CSDA in changing the living standards of their citizenry. 
Also speaking, the Hon. Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Mrs Stella Odey Ekpo, expressed the enthusiasm and preparedness of her office to partner CSDA for rural developmental outcomes that will reduce rural poverty while being a vehicle for wealth creation for Cross Riverians. 
In his opening remarks, Chairman CSDA,
Mr. Toni Joe Ikpeme while assuring the Chairmen of his agency’s continued transparency, urged them bring up ideas which will be beneficial to the agency in meeting their needs and requirements as they are the closest government to the people. 
In his paper presentation, the CSDA Acting General Manager, Mr. Fidel Undie took the participants, on series developmental strides of the agency which cuts across the 18 local government areas, the roles of the local governments and what is expected of them, how the various local government communities can benefit from the agency’s intervention programs and as well as the agency’s areas of interventions covered by CSDA.
In their various responses, the Chairmen appreciated His Excellency, Sen. Prof Ben Ayade for his steadfastness and focus in realizing his rural transformation agenda for Cross Riverians.
