Stakeholders in Yala LG lauds Gov. Ayade’s micro projects intervention

Stakeholders in Yala local government area of Cross River State have commended Governor Ben Ayade for his numerous laudable projects commissioned in some communities in the area.
Gov. Ayade who was represented at the event by the Commissioner for International Development Cooperation, Dr Inyang Asibong, commissioned a school block with solar powered borehole in Adum community, a furnished and well equipped science laboratory in Okpudu and a well constructed and well equipped skill acquisition centre in Okuku respectively.
Speaking at the event, Dr Asibong said the micro projects were implemented by the Communities themselves but funded through the Cross River State Community and Social Development Agency, a World Bank Assisted initiative of the Cross River State Government.
In his speech, Mr Toni Ikpeme, the Board Chairman of Cross River State Community and Social Development Agency, advised the community to make good use of the facility through proper maintenance.
The Acting General Manager of Cross River State Community and Social Development Agency, Mr Fidel Udie, commended the communities for the timely completion of the projects, adding that they have shown capacity that they were ready for more projects.
Also speaking, the State Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Mrs Stella Odey, thanked Governor Ayade for providing the dividends of democracy to the rural dwellers.
In her remarks, the Vice chairman of Yala local government area, Mrs Felicia Ijoko Udelikwo, said the projects will go a long way in adding value to the growth and development of the benefitting communities.
