Professor Florence Banku Obi has just assumed her new role as the eleventh (11th) Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) sequel to the investiture ceremony performed on Tuesday NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively.
Prof Obi is reportedly the first female VC of UNICAL, 45 years after the creation of the citadel of higher learning.
Recall that, Prof Obi who replaces Prof. Zana I. Akpagu, was on Thursday 10th of September 2020 appointed Vice Chancellor by the Governing Council of the public varsity. Her tenure will last for five years beginning from 1st December through 2025.
