My covenant with Nigerian youth …Rt Hon Daniel ‘Dansuki’ Asuquo

Youth of of Calabar metropolis may experience respite soon should a guber hopeful eventually emerge as the state chief executive.

The member representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency Rt Hon Daniel ‘Dansuki’ Asuquo told the youths of Calabar South that he will sit with them to fashion out best possible means of survival other than having to depend on revenue that has created hostility in the area with negative impression of the entire Local Governments Area.

He promised to engage them in more profitable ventures like Entrepreneurship, Agriculture and ICT to better their lives.

Dansuki had expressed joy and happiness to be back to his root, he said: ‘I’m happy to be back to Calabar South, some of you may not know my history in Calabar South, I’m a member of the Ita Ekeng’s family, also a founding member of the mount Zion group when I was in unical a group we used to play the local politics, most of of the members of that group are here today.

He used the occasion to inform the gathering how Apostle Essien Ayi assisted him, his words: ‘When I was contesting election for chairmanship position in Akamkpa LGA, I was highly supported by Apostle Essien Ayi because he knows I’m from here.

Hon Asuquo also informed the people of Calabar South the role he played in making sure their son, his brother Senator Gershom Bassey won the Senate election both at the primaries and the general election, so it’s time to pay back: ‘I have shown partnership and support to your son,my friend and our Senator so it’s time to show me love as I aspire to be governor come 2023.

I’m not asking you to give me the position for free, my request is for the party to allow everybody prove him or herself in the field and I know you all will vote me’.

He took out time to remind the people of Calabar South of what he did for them in the area of electricity, which include provision of transformers, solar panels as well as other empowerment items.

Rt Hon Daniel Asuquo reminded them of the implication of giving the party ticket to someone who won’t be able to win the general election against the party in power.

He thanked, the good people of Calabar South for welcoming his team and promised to change the fortunes of the LGA as soon as he’s sworn in as a governor come 2023.

In his remarks Chief Patrick Agbe who spoke on behalf of the good people of Cross River North seize the occasion to inform the people of Cslabar South that the Northern part vof cross River State is in support of the governorship position returning to the South and that the best person for that Job is Rt Hon Daniel Asuquo aka Dansuki because he’s a good product to market. He admonished the people of the Calabar south to take advantage of his humane disposition and Character.

Also speaking, Surveyor Offiong Eyo thanked His Excellency in the making for coming to consult them while informing the Rt Hon and his team that Calabar South is intact for him.
