IkomRt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, the esteemed Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, has made a compelling plea to members of the Ikom Traditional Rulers Council. He encouraged them to safeguard their cultural heritage and ensure that principles of justice, equity, and fairness prevail in the forthcoming election of their new paramount ruler NEGROIDHAVEN can report.

The notable event witnessed the presence of Etinyin Dr. Etim Okon Edet, Chairman of the Cross River State Traditional Rulers Council and the paramount ruler of Bakassi.

In his address, Speaker Ayambem underscored the profound importance of this momentous occasion. He acknowledged the exceptional qualifications of all aspirants and underscored the necessity for council members to unite around common goals. Such unity, he asserted, was indispensable for the betterment of their constituents and the overall stability of the state. The Speaker emphasized the need for collective support for the eventual paramount ruler, highlighting the far-reaching implications of this selection.
