The Cross River State chapter of Nigeria's fledgling political party, Young Democratic Party (YDP) has indicated its interest to lead in Calabar, Cross River the 6th February planned protest by Nigeria's leading hip hop artiste Innocent Idibia popularly called 2Baba and Tuface.

In a press release made available to NegroidHaven the youthful party noted that the protest will be against 'bad governance, corruption, and unemployment, etc. It stresses that the public protest will be peaceful.

' Young Democratic Party, Cross River State Chapter leads Cross Riverians in the proposed 2Face Street protest against bad governance in Nigeria.

'The protest scheduled to hold in Calabar will be carried out simultaneously with other States as we match to say NO to
Bad governance, Corruption, Unemployment etc. It is going to be a peaceful demonstration. For more information, contact: 07032461628, 08066435655, 08032925969.'

The top musician had earlier announced that he would lead a protest in Lagos on February 6 to express Nigerians’ disapproval of the federal government, particularly condemning its failure to resolve the economic dilemma facing the country.

I think this is an opportunity for Nigeria's youth to demonstrate their profound displeasure against economic ineptitude on the part of the All Progressives Congress-led federal government.
