Calabar South delegation joins Tinubu, Otu endorsement rally in Cross River

A delegation from Calabar South Local Government Area on Saturday joined thousands of supporters at an endorsement rally in Ikom in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Edet Otu NEGROIDHAVEN can report.

The rally, organised by the Prince Is Coming Movement, was held at the Ikom Township Stadium and attracted participants from the 18 local government areas of the state.

The Calabar South contingent was led by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Emmanuel Ironbar, and the Chairman of the local government area, Patrick Archibong.

Also in the delegation were the Vice Chairman of the council, Atim Martins, members of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Effiong Ekarika and Victor Nsa, councillors, as well as political appointees from the area.

Supporters from Calabar South arrived at the venue in groups, clad in customised T-shirts and face caps, while cultural displays and chants accompanied their entrance into the stadium.

Addressing participants at the rally, Ironbar commended members of the Prince Is Coming Movement for their commitment to what he described as the ideals of unity and political progress in the state.

He said the achievements of the Otu administration in infrastructure development and economic revitalisation had strengthened public confidence in the government.

Ironbar added that the governor’s performance in office had justified calls for continuity in leadership.

In his remarks, Archibong described the governor’s leadership record as commendable and urged supporters to sustain their backing for the administration.

According to him, the policies and programmes of the state government had begun to yield positive results across various sectors.

The rally featured speeches by political leaders and stakeholders who reaffirmed support for Tinubu and Otu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Participants at the event unanimously endorsed the two leaders for a second term, describing their leadership as crucial to sustaining development at both the national and state levels.
