Dear Governor Ben Ayade,

I wish to congratulate you on the success of your thanksgiving last weekend in Kakum, Obudu Local Government Area.

I have constantly aired my views on a number of issues to you through your private mail box and the social media, stating that Cross Riverians voted for you because they believe in your ability to change things for the better.

Senator Ayade, when  you picked the party's ticket, I knew Cross River State was getting it right because of what you stand for and represent.

Sir, the People of Mbube East are part of the 13 autonomous communities that make up Mbube nation but it is rather unfortunate that out of these communities just 3 have good road network and electricity.

My Governor, the People of Mbube East believe so much in you and it is rather sad that we do not have electricity. Recently, on the 29th August to be precise, I went to Mbube for the new yam festival and I saw the pain my People are experiencing. The road leading to Mbube East is in a sorry State. The electric poles are lying on the ground without cables electrifying these communities. It is painful and disheartening to see that these communities are left behind after voting for past administrations.

Your Excellency, during the campaigns, my People were very bitter about voting that they have been voting and past administrations have abandoned them. Sir, the people of the far East voted for you because of your legacies and charismatic nature in past positions and in your private capacity as an individual in which you touched the lives of many who came in contact with you.

My Governor, you are a courageous leader God has blessed Cross River State with. The People of Mbube East voted for you because of your potentials. We need you to reshape our road and electrify our communities. We want you to write your name in gold by constructing the road linking from Egbe, down to the far East, connecting Utugwang in Obudu Local Government.  Please Sir, be reminded that entire lives of the People of Mbube East are in your hands and you are the hope of the common man in this region.

Your Excellency, Senator Ben Ayade! I am of the humble opinion that God sent you to captain our lost glory by bringing meaningful infrastructural facilities to our People.

As you kick start fully in the days ahead, let me use this opportunity to plead that you pay special attention to the abandoned road in Mbube East by speedily constructing the road and also electrifying the remaining 10 communities that are left in darkness.

Sir, for you to reaffirm what you stand for as the man who has come to play politics with Ethics, I plead that you develop Mbube East. My People feel pained and deeply marginalized that we do not have a road, electricity, water and many more.

My Governor, please as part of your developmental projects, I beseech you to speedily work on the road as the People of Mbube-East are predominantly farmers who suffer great pain in conveying their farm produce to the market due to the poor nature of the road.

Once the road and the electricity project is executed, it will further improve the living condition of the inhabitants of Mbube-East.

It is my earnest prayer that attention will be given to the road as you hit the ground running in the days ahead.

Accept the assurances of my highest esteem and warm regards.

Prince Thomas Abi Jr.
Is a Son of Egbe-Mbube (Mbube-East)
