The greatest gift we can give to our people is education. Government and all well meaning individuals must stand up and rescue our educational system.

Our schools are in a sorry State. Our primary schools are nothing to write home about, our secondary schools and tertiary institutions produce half baked graduates. No! That is not the path to greatness, that is the way to destruction, poverty, corruption and stagnation. Martin Luther King Jr., said, "Remember that education gives you not only knowledge, which is power, but wisdom, which is control".

We must equip our people for the toughest of times, we must liberate our people from mental slavery, we must empower our people with education. For knowledge is life and it brings sustainable growth. And for Cross River State to move from third world of to first world, it is only natural that we give our people quality education. We must work for freedom, we must understand that knowledge is power and it is also wealth. Let's liberate our people; we must speak with one voice, we must consolidate.

It is our responsibility as Cross Riverians to march out stagnation, poverty, hunger and illiteracy.
Martin Luther King Jr., said, "I don't march because I like it. I march because I must, and because I'm a man". I have decided to march for the future of our people, I have taken it upon myself to march for greatness. To march against injustice, poverty, hate, illiteracy, stagnation and corruption. What are you waiting for ? Let's march together in order to liberate Cross River State for economic prosperity.

We must work for the future, for the future is greater than our past. We must secure our future, the future of the downtrodden, the lowly heard, hapless and the poor in Cross River State. The future can only be secured if we think about the long term and not what we can grab. The future can only be secured if we look beyond the present, if we show love, shun hatred and bitterness, preach peace and show mercy to our brothers, then we can secure the future of our people. Martin Luther King Jr., said, "As I stand here and look out upon the thousands of Negro faces, and the thousands of white faces, intermingled like the waters of a river, I see only one face – the face of the future".

Our future begins now. Let's secure it with love and compassion for our State and nation. God bless!
