When Gen. Muhammadu Buhari declared his assets during his swearing in ceremony as the president of Nigeria, some of our so called leaders assumed it was a child's play.

Mr president Buhari after such noble act and a litmus test of integrity motivated his followers to follow suit but unfortunately for the Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe. He, like the Biblical Ananias kept back some stuffs and declared a false asset which has led to He being arraigned before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) and charged for gross misconduct and falsification.

According to reports from our source, the case will hold on November 9, 2015. Our source also told NEGROIDHAVEN that the former Minister was also accused of accepting a 70 million naira bribe just to mention a few.

NEGROIDHAVEN gathered that there was a four-count charge in all against him which was filed on behalf of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) by one Mr Peter Danladi of the CCB and that the erstwhile minister was served this summon , precisely on thursday 29th of october 2015 .

Critical evaluation of the above incidence compels us to commend the action of the Tribunal as it is an action geared towards ensuring that corruption is reduced to its bare less minimum.

In addition, such steps by the Code of Conduct Tribunal is in line with the never dying Prophetic statement of the Late Biafran warlord, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, who informed that : " He that must come to equity, must do so with clean hands, because in the House of equity, there are no soaps and water."
