"This is my moment, because it was amazing,'' Mourinho said. "The moment I came back to the club and we played the first match at home against Hull City, the way the stadium welcomed me was amazing, but not comparable with today.

"Today comes in a moment where the results are not good, it comes in a moment where you [the media] are asking for my end [sacking].

"The fans read newspapers, they watch TV, they listen to pundits', commentators' opinions, they read blogs and it's quite unbelievable what they tried to say today.

"They tried to say, 'we want you here' and probably they also want to say to all of you 'we want him, let him work'. It's a fantastic feeling.

"I don't have another way to thank them than by giving everything I have, which I have always, which I will do always. It's the only way to thank them for this reaction.''

Chelsea fans all sang the name of pressured Jose Mourinho reaffirming their support for him throughout the game at the Bridge, and he admitted being an unforgettable moment for him, despite the perilous times.

Jose Mourinho Men had gone ahead with an early lead after a deadly cross from Brazilian in form William intended for Diego Costa was converted to own goal by Aleksandar Dragovic who later scored the equalizer for his side to level the game 1-1.

Chelsea looked naive, tense and lacked coherence with a lack lustre display in the second half, especially after conceding a goal with 15 mins to go. It took a moment of magic again from the wonderful Brazilian free kick to secure a late victory for Jose Mourinho and saved him from further pressure from being sacked

Chelsea are now second in Group G behind group leaders Porto with seven points from four matches played. A vital win when they face Porto in Stamford Bridge may eventually see them top the group and also a with against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

It was Willian who got the cheer most of the night after his David Beckham curved like free kick saved the day for Chelsea.

It's now left for Chelsea to build on this confidence ahead of the trip to face Stoke City at the weekend in the league.
