My Dear People of Cross River,

I greet you all as we celebrate the of birth of Jesus Christ our Lord and Messiah at Christmas. Christmas is a moment for the re-dedication of one's life to the true virtues and ideals of Jesus Christ who is the Universal King.

I urge everyone to use the season of Christmas to show love, peace, harmony, tolerance and love for one another.

As a people, we must stand united with one big strong voice. We must reaffirm our faith and believe in winning our many challenges experienced as a people. We must remain committed towards moving our State and nation forward. Christmas, affords us the opportunity to amend our ways and make the right decisions.

Fellow Citizens, it is my sincere prayer that the birth of Christ will imbue in us a new spirit. A heart for love for our neighbour. A heart of compassion for our men and women who are being killed by Boko Haram daily by constantly remembering them in our prayers.

This year's Christmas should rekindle our faith in our State and nation and grant us the ability to overcome all the challenges experienced in our State and nation by saying special prayers for the restoration of our beloved nation.

I wish you all a Happy Christmas!

God bless!
