Good morning Cross Riverians! I had a firm stance not to comment or join issues with anyone on matters concerning the present administration. But each passing day presents an unavoidable scenario for a prolonged commentary.

Sometimes I am left in awe at the unwholesome tutelage at which governance is dispensed in Cross
River State. I lack adjectives to use in describing the ugly situation without adding a tint of disrespect
to the office and person. This is yet another issue that stimulated my silence. But synopsis of events
that characterises the office of the chief executive in the state and his utterances requires that I do the
needful.

As the Governor of the state, the moment he is on air or in an event. His statement/speech is a policy
statement hence it must be truth, precise, direct and calculated. Even if they should be cases of doubt
or falsification, the truth should out weigh the falsehood.

Since the inception of this government, the supposed policy by the governor is characterized
by 90% contradiction:
1. Investors on ground. Till date nothing
2. Garment factory. First 100 days yet its more than 6months and its has not been completed.
3. Green police. What we have now is black and white police and Imoke's DOPT. Information in the
now has it that another exercise will be conducted as the first one is no longer tenable.
4. PMB's visit: the shift in date was as chronic as the instability of the Naira.
5. Energy city: still waiting
6. 5000 housing unit: waiting game etc

The very recent is the monorail. Test running was slated on the 18th December, 2015 while 20th was
the actual commissioning. This was on air, yet it never came to pass. These are policy statements for Christ sake yet the governor does not really care about it. How will we be taken? As serious minded people or what? Are they really policy statements or misguided utterances? Yet his political Alleluia boys will not help issues. What a sad prospect.
