POLITICAL DEFECTIONS: Chief Clement Ebri Decamps to APC Amidst Crowd of Supporters -Joseph Odok

Chief Clement Ebri decamps to APC in his home town Nkpani admist crowd of supporters. Those who
graced the occasion include Honorable Minister of Niger Delta Pastor Usani Uguru Usani, the
immediate past Senate Leader Distinguished Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, Hon Bassey Inah Ibol
a grandfather of Cross River State politics, Hon Cletus Obun (Vice Chairman APC Central) Bishop
Victor Ebong (APC State Secretary), Hon Bassey Ibol (Former House of Assembly Member) Ntufam
Fidelis Ugbo, the grass root politician and father of Abi politics Hon Dr. Alex Egbona, The Boki I APC
State House Assembly candidate and former House of Assembly Member, Hon Ernest Eki, Hon. Alex
Irek, Pst. Chris Obasse, Hon. Ernest Irek, the Calabar South I APC candidate Hon. Effiong Ekarika and a host of other party supporters.

While delivering his speech His Excellency Clement Ebri noted that the time when party was fashioned
by a one man who keeps state money and party structures as a personal property and ATM to doll
out to any one at his will is long over in Cross River State politics. He urged the enthronement of internal
democracy and integration of new entrants while admitting the enormous role played by those who
stood under thick and thin to preserve the opposition structures in the state.

On his part the Honorable Minister of Niger Delta, Pst. Usani Uguru Usani and distinguished Senator Victor Ndoma Egba called for greater collaboration amongst party faithful. They also condemned the
attitude of petitions amongst members of the party. His Excellency Clement Ebri was handed with the party symbol of a broom, APC constitution and a muffler as symbols of his acceptance.

By the act of his integration, Chief Clement Ebri and distinguished
Senator Victor Ndoma Egba have become automatic members of APC National Caucus in accordance
with the party's constitution and their positions as ex-Governor and Senate Leader respectfully.
