God is a loving and wonderful father, he is awesome. He is loving and a dependable God. He never fails. Our God is a mighty God. How often do you say thank you Jesus? How often do you thank God for his many blessings upon your life? It is rather unfortunate that we are too busy asking God for new things without thanking him for what he has already blessed us with.
I remember, sometime in the early part of the year, while I was waiting to take a turn to see my doctor at the National Hospital, Abuja, I saw strange eye condition. A little girl of about 5 years of age was almost blind with her eye lid out. She was in serious pain and weeping. At that point I said to my self thank you Jesus. They are so many persons passing through great pain yet we keep lamenting over little problems. We keep shouting that God has forgotten us. Take a deep reflection of your life and you would understand that you are loved by God.
They are many vulnerable children out there without food to eat or a shelter to lay their heads. On the 28th of December, after the Carnival Calabar, I took a walk to have some noodles at Marian since I was very hungry and I saw young children sleeping in the cold. And we are complaining that God has forgotten us. At that point I wasn't hungry again. I said to myself God thank you. You must be thankful to God for him to open doors of his divine vitality.
You must be show appreciation to God. In every situation there is always a reason. I remember when I lost my Maverick father, I refused to cry. I knew the task was daunting and the challenges were enormous. I pictured my self to children who lost their parents at a very young age. I knew I hadn't any reason to lament or cry because God had shown me so much love.
You may be experiencing great pain in your marriage today, and likening yourself to your friends who have richer husbands. Have you looked inwardly to see the problems they are going through? No! You haven't. Never you try to be like the other person. They are persons who look very exotic but you are better than them. They have all the wealth but in most cases they do not have kids or a healthy marriage. They are always fighting and nagging at each other. Why not stay happily with a man who adores and gives you peace of mind? We are always ungrateful to say thank you God for his infectious love on us.
My dear friend, you must always learn to thank God in-spite of the storm. Adversity should always make us stronger. You may be praying for a car and wondering why God hasn't blessed you with a car but there is a reason why God hasn't given you the car. The car may be the way to your grave. And so because God loves you he won't give you what would destroy you.
As we enter into 2016, we must learn to have a heart of appreciation to God. We must learn to show love to our neighbor. We must learn to share no matter how little with our friends. God blesses a large heart. God blesses people who have a kind heart in order for them to bless others with their God given resources.
In 2016, it is your responsibility to work towards the liberation of mankind and not exhibiting greedy tendencies. You must understand that your present status is somebody's prayer point and so you must help others. You must be a man or woman of impeachable character. Most times out of greed and wickedness we amass what we do not need. We must learn to say thank you God and be appreciative.
As 2015 winds down, I urge you to take out sometime and reflect over your life. Only then you would understand that God has actually done so much for you.
I urge you to learn how to say thank you God, for God is the greatest.
