A serious Government will fix the power problem in six months

The above statement attributed to the former Governor of Lagos State, Raji Babatunde Fasola was made 12th November 2014 concerning power in Nigeria. By the time of the statement, he was the incumbent governor of Lagos State.
Today, he is the Minister of Power, Works & Housing, and it is over 11 months his party assumed the reins of power nationally. And it's glaring that the government is not working.
Did Fasola underestimate the task ahead or was he just been mischievous —playing party politics?
