Sen. Prof. Benedict Ayade on 27 May 2016 inaugurated all boards Chairpersons and members, all Special Advisers and Commissioners, all Senior Special Advisers and Director Generals and Heads of Departments and members in CRS.
Dr Betta Edu, the first Director General of Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency (CRSPHCDA) was inaugurated along.
Prof Ayade who in his elaborate speech told the State appointees 'that it is not the office that makes a man but is the man that makes an office' urged them to seek God first in all their doing, pray and ponder on the development of the state.
The Governor told the appointees not to allow any man stop them from performing their duties as he has given them the mandate and authority to lead in their various duty post. In his words 'I am greatly impressed at your escape velocity of speed in fixing the primary health sector. Never relent'. Probably, that is why she said: 'His Excellency, Sen (Prof) Ben Ayade puts final stamp of authority on Dr Betta Edu as Director General of Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency and the Board of the Agency'.
She pledged continued successful strides in her new role. According to her,
'the struggle continues, the aim and objectives is to position, revamp and revitalize the primary healthcare system of the state for quality healthcare delivery'.
DG Betta Edu was accompanied to the inauguration by the husband, Mr Victor Verman Edu.
