In the early hours of yesterday, Friday 24th of June 2016, some of the Ekiti state dwellers united in a protest against their governor.
The reasons for the protest seems undefined but it was rumoured that the protest was to kick against the Governor's supposed "excesses" and his recent alleged connection with arms deal as investigated by the EFCC.
Later on, during mid day, some other group of residence of the state were seen singing the praises of the Governor as he in the company of his aides went to inspect some road projects that were on going in the state.
The pictures above speaks volume.
The Governor of Ekiti was cheered by many across the nook and cranny of the state, leaving us in a state of dismay as we wondered where on earth the few who earlier criticized the Governor came from?
Curiosity further drives us to ask why some factions of the ekiti state residents would snob the Governor who others loved? May be the reason is not far fetched..
Even history teaches us that the most powerful and generous amongst men, to wit: (Jesus and Judas), (Caesar and Brutus) was loved by many, hated by others and then betrayed by their own!
