Members of the Nigeria Army 74th regular recruit intake from Cross River State have been charged to show good conduct in their chosen profession.

Speaker of Cross River State House of Assembly Rt. Hon John Gaul Lebo gave the charge when the 74th Regular intakes of the Nigeria Army from Cross River paid a courtesy call at his office yesterday.

Rt. Hon Lebo who congratulated the soldiers for successfully completing the recruitment exercise in spite of difficulties encountered, urged them to always display professionalism while being good ambassadors of the state in the service.

He advised the new intakes to identify senior officers from the state who could provide mentorship and inspiration to them, saying that such gesture would help them to remain focused, diligent and disciplined.

Earlier on behalf of the recruits, Private Onun Onun had appreciated the Speaker alongside the state government for the support received before and during the course of the training exercise which held at the military depot, Zaria.

He said the visit was to enable the intakes from Cross River show appreciation to the Speaker who had found their cause worthy and had subsequently demonstrated commitment to ensuring that they succeeded, adding that they would be diligent and very professional in the discharge of their duties to the nation and would desist from any action or activities that would bring the image of the state to disrepute.
