Photo shots from media aides of the Executive Governor of Cross River suggest that rehabilitation work is ongoing at the sites of the deplorable  Calabar-Odukpani, Calabar-Ikom and Ikom-Ogoja roads.

Paul Ojeka, one of such media aides states that 'The state government remains focused to ensure that the roads receive maximum attention in line with governor Ayade Benedict's development plan for the state'.

We will recall that about two weeks ago the governor was reported to have plied Oron route, bestriding about 3 states before he could be reintroduced back to the state's indigenous route to proceed to his home town in Obudu.

Meanwhile, the indigenes of Adim in Biase LGA are calling on both the President and Governor to intervene on the dilapidated conditions of the Calabar-Ikom Federal Highway, Adim axis. In fact, it has observed that, 'Within Biase alone, we have over three bad spots that are not motorable… Iwuru, between Akpet and Akpet 1 and then Adim…Mr. President, you want the movement of tankers to the north to completely seize before you send Mr. Fashola to verified and fix this roads?', according to one Owai Obo a native of Biase.
