Tuesday 27 September witnessed the in-house election/inauguration of the principal officers of the Senate of the Student Union Government (SUG) of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO).
Comrade Mbetobong Udoh was elected as Senate President. While Comrades Nsisiong Ikon and Akanimo Christopher where respectively elected as Deputy Senate President and Chief Whip.
The election and swearing in ceremony took place at Community Center, University of Uyo. As usual, Comrade Kufre Samuel the SUG President presided over the first session that saw the election of these distinguished senators.
I pray the Good Lord to grant them knowledge and understanding for a robust legislative engagement that will improve the quality of education in the great citadel of learning.
