It is widely believed, whether rightly or wrongly, that a guilty conscience fears even his shadow. I ordinarily would have ignored this smear campaign against Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba but for the clarity of purpose I want to put records straight.

First and foremost, I am not miffed by the article but it has availed me the opportunity of re-addressing the lingering fictional rage war in the Cross River APC. It is also laughable to think that Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba and Pastor Usani U. Usani are at war, this is the figment of the imagination of rumour mongers whose only stock in trade is to cause division and disunity. For the records Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba and Pastor Usani are working together and enjoy robust relationship.

Fortunately fate has saddled them with President Buhari's administration policy thrust of redefining and developing the Niger Delta Region, as Minister of the Niger Delta Ministry and Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission. This gesture by the President is laudable and demands our support for these Cross Riverians to succeed in their respective challenging assignment.

We know Senator Ndoma-Egba for his strong character and personality; he would never stoop so low to plot for the downfall of any person let alone a Cross Riverian who has risen to this position of trust.

He has always shown his fervent interest to developing the State and supports anything that will bring development. His support for the Party is to bring unity and growth to the State.

It is also pertinent to state clearly that the alleged indictment of Pastor Usani by a committee of inquiry that was set up by the then former Governor of Cross River State, Mr. Donald Duke has nothing to do with Senator Ndoma-Egba. Though a public document that can be accessed by anyone, it was never of any interest to him.

So it is malicious to link Senator Ndoma-Egba to the circulation of this white paper.

I find it offensive and I know Senator Ndoma-Egba will find it more offensive as this faceless group alleged that he is not loyal to the President.

Nothing can be further from the truth than this assertion. The loyalty of Senator Ndoma-Egba to the President is not negotiable just as his respect for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is strong.

As a Party man, he believes in the supremacy of the party and will never go contrary to the directives of the party, as he has always fostered a healthy relationship among members of the party in the State. He believes that to who much is given, much is expected and is therefore calling for a united Cross River APC in order to achieve meaningful progress.

It is also important to note that Prince Goddy Jedy-Agba has a wonderful working relationship with Pastor Usani Uguru Usani. Therefore, linking him to his removal is only but mischievous and a wicked ploy to cause friction between the two.

For many times, Prince Jedy has stood his ground to uplift the tenets of brotherly love among all APC members in Cross River State. His love for Distinguish Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, and Chief Okoi Obono-Obla, and Usani cannot be underestimated. His passion is to see all members united as one big family to enable them push aside the mediocrity, fraud, imposition, and gross abuse of power of the PDP.

For him, unity of the APC is not negotiable and he will not be part of any plan to remove anybody from his appointment.

It is also important to state here  in clear terms that Chief Okoi Obono-Obla does not wish Hon Minister Usani Usani any evil. He does believe that at an appointed time, every hardworking person will reap the benefits of their labour. Chief Obla has congratulated Usani in his appointment as Minister and therefore cannot be linked with the indictment papers circulated online by Sahara Reporters.

These three men are comfortable in their chosen carriers., and will benefit nothing from the removal of Usani Uguru Usani as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The publication by Liberate Cross-River is nothing to write home about. It is the handiwork of a nonentity. And cheap blackmail from a faceless critic whose only ambition is to cause disharmony in the APC.
