Strong rumours making the waves, yesterday, has it that the distinguished Senator representing Cross River Central Senatorial District at the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. John Owan-Enoh, will be defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) any moment soon.
The Leader of the Young Democratic Party (YDP) in Cross River, Mr Anthony Bissong Attah, popular/controversial social change agent, Joseph Odok Esq., Ph.D., and outspoken New York based APC member, Peter Offem Ubi have publicly peddled this piece of information; While allies and aides of Owan-Enoh have consistently denied it.
For instance, yesterday, Attah said through his Facebook account thus, 'Senator John Owan Enoh decamps from PDP to APC for political survival.
Politics just began in Cross River State'.
Joseph Odok mockingly informed that
'There are strong rumours that Sen. Owan Enoh has began consultation to move to APC. He rose to power through governor say. About 18 years in power no single project to his name
'The question is whether Owan Enoh was actually the politically strong man propaganda made him to look like. Governor Ayade Benedict has not began saying and Sen. Owan Enoh has began running from PDP he so claimed to be powerful to APC. See Owan Enoh has currently lost Etung when governor has not began saying
'Bye bye to Sen Owan Enoh bid to return to the Senate if truly he wants to defect to APC. We need him to throw his small blows to stop Ayade's second term bid. Interesting times ahead
'The Sen Owan Enoh story is simply a lesson that when we use people to destroy others, karma will use same to destroy us. I no fit laugh'.
For Peter Offem Ubi, 'Reality came to Senator John Owan Enoh as he now takes a flight out of PDP. 2019 isn't absent in his calculation as Central Senatorial Zone in Cross River is home to a solid APC opposition to PDP…
'Well, on what may soon be a reality to supporters of the current senator from central constituency in Cross River State, joining APC isn't a knew story line attributed to Sen Enoh. News of his decamping made early headlines particular with his supposed closeness to the Governor of Sokoto State.
'I look forward to Senator Enoh's enormous' statement on why he is leaving the PDP and Joining the APC …there is no other Party of relevance for him than APC. I equally look forward to his spinnerets on this medium on their defense'.
Inquiries made by NegroidHaven to Owan-Enoh, yesterday, to ascertain the validity of the rumour is yet to be responded to.
Should Owan-Enoh decamp to the APC following Florence Ita-Giwa?
