Information reaching our correspondent has it that the 8th Cross River State House of Assembly (CRSHA) has resolved the last week Fulani herdsmen militia invasion of Obio Usiere, Eniong Abatim in Odukpani LGA of southern senatorial district of the state NegroidHaven can report.
We have learnt that the member representing Odukpani in Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Bassey Akiba raised a motion on the recent invasion/attack on the people of Obio- Usiere in Eniong, Odukpani Local Government Area by Fulani herdsmen.
Sequel to an exhaustive debate by honourable members, the House resolved that:
1.The State Government and the Commissioner of Police should immediately dispatch security apparatus to the affected area.
2.The National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA) should be directed to visit the area and render assistance.
3.The relevant House committee and the State Security Adviser Should visit the community with a view to resolving the matter.
It would be recalled that on Tuesday 28th March Fulani herdsmen invaded Obio-Usiere in Eniong Abatim in Odukpani LGA. At least, one person have been confirmed dead with thousands displaced.
