Ikom Gas Explosion: over 18 sustain 2nd degree injuries, 3 families involved

Incidentally, ace journalist and Vice President of South South Sport Writers Association of Nigeria, Mr Eddy Bekom and family were involved in the inferno. 

It further learnt that journalist Bekom, wife and 2 children sustained second degree burns alongside 16 others. The inferno which affected 3 families in an estate in Ikom was alleged caused by a gas explosion in one of the flats burning down the building. 

The victims are in different hospitals receiving treatment.
