It was a night of glitz, glam and excitement, as a trio of the Cross River State delegation led by the unstoppable Governor Ben Ayade stole the show last night at the City Pride Newspapers award Ceremony in Lagos NegroidHaven can report authoritatively. The team won awards of recognition for their outstanding performances in their various offices.
Governor Ayade along with his Lagos State counterpart, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, were recognised by the publishers of Daily Pride Magazines nationwide for their exceptional commitment towards the development of their various states.
Our correspondent further garnered that, the Cross River State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Inyang Asibong, was presented with an award for the most outstanding Commissioner of year and that of Information and Orientation, Bar. Rosemary Archibong was also recognised with the most outstanding State Information manager.
ACP Abba Kyari who made the award presentation to the Governor said in recent times Cross River State has been making headlines, topping charts and breaking new grounds for being the State with the fastest growing economy in the country, all thanks to the brilliance of Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade. The famous ACP Kyari who won the hearts of many Nigerians after leading his crack team to capture the kidnap kingpin Mr Chukwudi Onwuamadike popularly known as Evans, described Governor Ayade as a Governor per Excellence!
Upon receiving the award, Dr Asibong noted that the greatest motivation to do more, is the recognition of hard work. She outlined the supersonic achievements of Governor Ayade which had won him many laurels including the Tell Magazine and Vanguard Governor of the year award.
The Governor Ayade-led administration is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the wellbeing of every Cross Riverian in spite of the meager allocation from the Federal Government.
