The notice of the leadership of the Young Democratic Party (YDP) in Cross River State has been drawn to an ugly development which transpired Thursday 31st August 2017 at Hit 95.9FM breakfast show, namely, Office of the Citizen as hosted by Dr. Groove and Uk who both deliberated on the topic, “The Demand and Supply of Good Governance” between 7am and 8am.
In the aforementioned breakfast show, on the first privately-owned radio station in Cross River state, one Quincy Mgbadou was presented by the hosts, Dr. Groove and UK to be representative of the Young Democratic Party (YDP), Cross River State chapter. For the records, this presentation and concomitant perception was erroneous. For the avoidance of doubt, Mr. Quincy Mgbadou was representing himself and not the YDP, let alone YDP CRS.
Otherwise, how do we explain the development that the Publicity Secretary of YDP Cross River State, Comr. John Ogar who was billed to represent YDP in the said show was pre-informed not to show up until Thursday, 7th September where other political parties would be represented to deliberate on a common topic? Again, why would Dr. Groove and Uk, hosts of the breakfast show engage Mr. Mgbadou on the basis of his representation of the YDP while cognizant of this postponement?
Accordingly, every statement made by Mr. Mgbadou on the Hit 95.9FM, yesterday between 7am and 8am (on the breakfast show) was made in his personal capacity. The Publicity Secretary, and thus, official image-maker of YDP in CRS remains Comr. John Ogar. All things being equal, he is going to be on the same show, come 7th September.
Comr. John Ogar
Ag. Publicity Secretary
Young Democratic Party (YDP)
Cross River State.
