Distinguished Senators Gershom Bassey (1st L), John Owan Enoh (2nd L); Sen. Liyel Imoke (3rd L), Mr. Donald Duke(4th L) and Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade(5th L) in the burial Ceremony of the father of Sen. Bassey, John Henry Bassey’s burial today in Calabar.

A handful of Cross Riverians have bore their minds on the pictures featured in this publication especially considering that the five political juggernauts are perceived to be sworn enemies for obvious reasons —the dearth of continuity in policies and programmes of the designated administrations they represent.
All five of ‘them boys’ enjoy loyalty from the proletariat among Cross Riverians from the hills of Bekwarra to the rivers of Bakassi with some masses even evolving themselves into irreconcilable foes on behalf of they —this theme of doing ‘proxy fighting’ for the five bourgeois boys by the proletariat is also informing this publication.

However, across board, Cross Riverians hold differing opinions about the picture. Read for yourself:

An On Air Personality (OAP) with Hit 95.9 FM, Iwara Iwara, has observed concerning the picture thus: ‘While we fight and call each other names, the people under whose ‘umbrella’ we supposedly fight recognize that we are all better off in CRS together. Think again before you POKE your finger in another brother’s eye’.
For social commentator Prince Thomas Abi Jr, it’s ‘When I fraternize with people of various political parties, young people abuse me and call me names. They vilify me! This is just a clear example that big men don’t fight. May God help our young people to see that we are better together than fighting one another because of politics’.
Christopher Ogar a Yala LGA chairmanship aspirant says that, ‘The sitting arrangement is very correct and futuristic’.
For Oke Enang Enang, it’s ‘How can a fight because of a politician, I dey craze?’.
Anakan Asigbe-Ayan says: ‘The idea is simple, we want one Cross River, we love togetherness, there is a bigger strength in togetherness than considering a one man scout game. Unity of purpose, unified mindset and concordance is solidarity. Let’s see more of this.’

Joseph Odok Esq., Ph.D says that: ‘The conspiracy of elites in CRS, watching and praying it does liberate us rather than dehumanize us as usual.’

For Ebri Omini, it’s ‘Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Boys have to grow up quickly & learn the robs! However, does this sitting arrangement suggest permutations for your excellencies?’
Aninege Jimmie quips that, ‘That’s how it should be, no hard feelings. Interest is it.’
Goddy Akpama explains, ‘U finish talk bro. I say it, politics is a madness of plenty  (us) for a few. (Cabal we call them)’.
James Udam posits, ‘Still trying to see any of the so call Facebook supporters anywhere close to this three great guys..’
Promise Nakanda submits, ‘United Cross River state…………….’
Adams Okon notes that, ‘Don’t be deceived, there’s a cold war ragingg between these guys.’
Nten Ochuweh Ekpang observes that, ‘Sometimes those smiles are strictly for the cameras like the one you carry. Especially you, that they know.’
Chamberlain Essien JP, ‘Ayeda has betray Cross river state as a whole including the person he took over from. Is planning joining APC which they wont give him ticket.’
In his opinion, Sonofman Nitro thinks, ‘I love d guy on suit. He has Brain, doggedness, charisma, intimidating, fearful and love. I called him the lion heart. God bless DD,  God bless CrossRiver. Proudly a crosriverian’
For Emily Etim, ‘You are so right about that, unlike  my state where they play divisive politics and that bitterness’.
In Paul Baji’s thinking, ‘No body has betrayed the good people of cross river state yet. Except that you want to be controversial. The digital Governor is on his feet working excellently.’

Patrick Unimagbebia Akongwale declared thus, ‘We are good at Pretending & Acting! These are not the pillars of great societies.’
I can continue on and on, but, basically, this picture has elicited different reactions. What’s your opinion?
