As part of the just concluded so-called Town Hall Meeting organised by the Senator representing Cross River Southern Senatorial District at the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr Gershom Bassey, pictures of supposed long faces worn by constituents from Akamkpa LGA have filtered into social media space NegroidHaven can say.

Those ‘long faces’ are supposed because our correspondent couldn’t ascertain whether the photographs were impacted by the camera angle of the photographer or it was taken at the point where the distinguished lawmaker was depositing a serious issue of local, national or international relevance.
But, this is what one Francis Etang a constituent has to say : ‘That very moment our Senator is trying to brainwash Akamkpa political stake holders with reasons for 31-months-absence they were amazed during a town hall meeting in Calabar.(Aboneyi ntem aka sire anen mfor fam -Tebede Tebede)’. One Joseph Ita in corroboration has said, ‘You see because he want second term he is now coming for explanation he think people are so stupid’, for Essien Eyo, it is ‘A failure is a failure, please my people be wise, use your PVC wisely bcos this time our mandate must be held firmly. Same old style of 1999 in 2018,our mu mu don do ooo, bad product is a bad market, we have been taken for granted for so long, let’s rise as a family and vote out bad representative out of our SENATORIAL DISTRICT, he wanted to prove Sen Prince Bassey Otu wrong now we have seen the difference, let him give peace a chance because this second coming the people senator will be total tsunami , Cross River Southern senatorial district must be rebranded with the peoples representative and not selfish, greedy and representative’, as one John Inyang quipped thus : ‘He was sleeping in the Senate but he has suddenly woken up.plz clap for him’.
Be that as it may, and even though they say pictures don’t lie, we can still decipher for ourselves what the truth is.
