Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management is conducting a fresh research into a topical issue by the MIT Centre for Information Systems Research (CISR) bordering on exploring 'how companies use data and analytics to increase a product's value… Effectively make money from information'.
According to a letter dated 22nd May 2018, signed by the Associate Dean of Executive Education in the MIT Sloan School of Management, Dr Peter Hirst, and obtained by NegroidHaven the Speaker of the 8th Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo, has been invited by the Sloan School of Management to participate in the research activity.
The letter reads in part, 'Dear John,… We are inviting you to participate in some fresh topical research. Dr Barbara Wixom, Principal Research Scientist at the MIT Centre for Information Systems Research (CISR) is conducting two surveys and invites to participate'.
The research which is 2-pronged for product managers and business executives, that is, Data Wrapping Survey and Data Monetisation Survey, respectively aims at understanding how companies use data wrapping to generate financial returns and build competitive advantage as well as understand how companies make money and create competitive advantage.
